"Calla" and "Magnolia" 1997
The series of paintings in "Calla" and "Magnolia" are a continuation of the series "Rose" from 1994 where the focus was the visualizing of the feminine and masculine power in nature recognizable in human beings.Again the focus is to balance the picture space in to a patter of ever-growing flowers shown in different stadiums in the pictures. The shape of the branches touching and growing through the picture frame indicates he eternity.
The "Calla" series has also the element of night and day and the lifecycle shown through black and white paintings.

Serien "Kalla" og "Magnolia" er basert på det same prinsippet som "Rose" serien fra 1994 hvor fokuset var og visualisere den feminine og maskuline kraften i naturen som er gjenkjennelig hos menneskene.
Igjen er billedflaten bygget opp av blomster vist fra knopp til full blomst satt inn balnt et evig voksende nettverk av grener som symboliserer evigheten.
I "Kalla" serien hentydes det til døgnets og livets syklus i bruken av sort hvitt nyanser satt opp mot dagslysets fargeskalaer.
