"Reconstruction" 2006

"Reconstruction" 2006

The exhibition Reconstructions 2006 consists of oil paintings, photo and objects in glass and plexi with references to Villa Massimo in Laterano in Rome. The series refers to the villas architectonic elements and geometric forms, lines and to the play with light. The paintings reflects to the magnificent visual experience of colour, wall and ceiling mural that the villa creates. The feeling of Villa Massimo is reconstructed in a figurative language where the paintings are abstractions of the visual concrete motive created in a slow meditative process. Reconstructions 2006 is a continuation of Particulare from 2004, based on Venice visual beauty.

Reconstructions 2006 has materialized thanks to grant and residence at The Scandinavian Artist Collegium in Rome, given by the Norwegian Artist Fund, exhibit grant from The Art Council of Norway and the Vederlags grant.
